Event Info Tzedek Chicago will gather once again for our annual Passover seder led by Rabbi Brant and cantorial soloists, Leah Shoshanah and Adam Gottlieb. Our annual tradition will feature our trademark combination of community, music, poetry, learning, and a delicious vegetarian dinner – all ages are welcome. As we sit down to seder this Passover, we cannot look away from Israel's forced starvation of the Palestinian people in Gaza, which has brought the population to the brink of famine for 17 months. In response to this reality, we will be eating a more mindfully modest vegetarian/vegan meal together with our symbolic seder foods – and donate the balance of the cost of our food to UNRWA. As such, we encourage those who are able to contribute ceremonial foods and/or drinks to our seder in order to help defray the cost of the meal and ensure a maximal amount of proceeds are donated to UNRWA. Please check back here in the coming days for more volunteer opportunities. Our seder will be held in person on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Levy Center (300 Dodge Ave. in Evanston) and via Zoom. We ask that in-person attendees register in advance below and plan to arrive between 4:45 and 5:15 PM so that everyone is able to check in and get seated before our 5:15 PM start time. COVID and Access Please click here to review Tzedek Chicago's COVID Policy, which will be in place at this in-person event. Since the seder will include eating throughout, attendees should expect that people will regularly remove and replace their masks. We will also have a designated seder table available for people who would benefit from additional COVID precautions. The event will have HEPA air filters running and ventilation where possible. We will have take-away containers for those who would like to join us for the seder and leave during the meal. All food will be marked with known allergens. The Levy center is an ADA accessible building with gendered bathrooms. Seating will be folding chairs without arm rests. If you have any access needs / requests, please list them in the field below. We will do our best to meet all access requests given time and resource constraints.
